Tracy works as a Physician Systems Liaison. Her son Maison, who we are welcoming as a Junior Ambassador this year as well, was diagnosed with neutropenia in 2021 and has been the motivation for her to become involved with the NNN Senior Ambassador program so that she can increase awareness and help others understand the unique challenges families face while navigating these conditions. Tracy has also provided phenomenal support to Maison as he has started to embark on his own quest to make a difference in the community.
Tracy has already been advocating for the neutropenia community by raising awareness for neutropenia on social media and through community involvement on National Rare Disease Day. As a Senior Ambassador, Tracy plans to support her role through a multifaceted approach focused on education, community engagement, and advocacy.
1. Host Informative Sessions: Organize educational workshops to raise awareness about neutropenia and rare diseases in the community.
2. Create Educational Materials: Develop brochures and online resources to make information about neutropenia accessible and easy to understand.
3. Community Awareness Campaigns: Launch initiatives to engage the community through social media and events that promote understanding of rare diseases.
4. Support Networks: Establish support groups and mentorship programs for families affected by neutropenia, fostering a sense of community and shared experiences.
5. Advocacy Initiatives :Collaborate with Healthcare Providers: Work with local healthcare professionals to enhance their awareness and understanding of neutropenia , ensuring families receive comprehensive care. “
