You’ve been there… you know how they might be feeling…volunteer to listen and help!
As you know first-hand, discovering that you, your child, or a loved one has been diagnosed with neutropenia can be an overwhelming experience. Talking openly with someone who has walked a similar path can be a healthy experience.
Become a Peer Support Volunteer
NNN’s Peer Support Volunteer (PSV) Program is geared toward positively influencing the emotional well-being of patients and families facing the challenges of neutropenia. We connect individuals and families affected by neutropenia with trained volunteers who truly understand the journey. We carefully select and train Peer Support Volunteers (PSVs) to provide compassionate, one-to-one support and meaningful connection.
If you are interested in being a source of support for someone impacted by neutropenia, we invite you to apply. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; however, volunteer openings may be limited at times. All applications are reviewed by NNN staff, and applicants will be contacted with next steps.
When positions are available, selected applicants will participate in an interview to share their experiences and help us make thoughtful, appropriate matches. Volunteers who move forward will receive training and clear guidelines before being paired with someone seeking support.
Thank you for your interest in supporting the neutropenia community.
